A 22-year-old health club coach has been arrested by the Delhi Police for stalking and harassing over 100 ladies on Facebook and different social media platforms, officers mentioned on Saturday. The accused Vikas Kumar allegedly despatched obscene messages and movies to the ladies and harassed them.
Police mentioned they’ve acquired a grievance of cyber stalking from a girl within the capital.
The complainant alleged that the accused was harassing her by sending obscene messages and was following her on-line regardless of being requested not to take action. The accused threatened the complainant saying that he knew her private info.
Additional DCP (South West) Amit Goel mentioned the district’s cyber workforce contacted Facebook and located that the accused created faux IDs to focus on ladies. All his particulars turned out to be faux.
“We took out the phone number linked to the account and tried to trace it but it was with someone else. Our team then found that the accused lives near the complainant’s house,” mentioned the officer.
Kumar was traced from his residence and arrested.
During interrogation, Kumar advised the police that he had created a Facebook account posing as a girl to ship buddy requests to ladies.
