HP publicizes manufacturing of laptops, desktops in India

Tech big HP on Wednesday introduced that it has began manufacturing a variety of PC merchandise, together with laptops, in India as part of its ‘Make in India’ initiative.

Some of the merchandise which might be manufactured in India are: HP EliteBooks, HP ProBooks and HP G8 collection notebooks. HP expanded its line of domestically manufactured business desktops by including quite a lot of desktop fashions resembling Mini Towers (MT), Mini Desktop (DM), Small Form Factor (SFF) desktops and a variety of all-in-one PCs Is. These merchandise have each Intel and AMD processor choices and cater to a variety of buyer segments.

“The proximity of the FLEX facility to the Chennai port improves operational efficiency and eases sourcing of raw materials for manufacturing laptops and other PC products,” the assertion mentioned.

The firm mentioned in a press launch that it’s manufacturing these merchandise at a facility in Sriperumbudur close to Chennai, Tamil Nadu. “Some of these products are eligible under the Government’s Public Procurement Order and will be available on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) – a portal to meet the demands of government departments and other customers,” the corporate mentioned.
