There can be no change in format for the league, with the 13 groups to play in opposition to one another as soon as in a round-robin format, within the first spherical. Once the primary spherical is over, the groups can be divided into two teams – Group A will include the highest seven groups that can combat for the championship title, whereas Group B will include the underside six groups that can be embroiled in a relegation battle. Each membership will play their opponents of their respective teams as soon as in a round-robin format, within the second spherical.

The matches can be performed throughout three venues – Kalyani Municipal Stadium, Naihati Stadium, and the Mohun Bagan Ground.
