If folks attempt to dig up issues that do not exist, I will not quit: Virat Kohli on quitting captaincy

India skipper Virat Kohli has dominated out moving into any debate on the rationale behind his determination to step down because the nationwide T20 captain after the continued T20 World Cup, saying he is not going to give fodder to these in search of controversy.

Eyebrows had been raised when Kohli introduced on his social media that he would step down from the captaincy after the mega occasion within the UAE.

There are many theories floating in regards to the purpose for such a call, with skipper Kohli saying that he’s not prepared so as to add gasoline to the fireplace.

When requested the rationale for asserting it forward of the T20 World Cup, Kohli mentioned, “I have already explained myself a lot and I don’t think I need to veena over that now.”

“Our focus is to play well in this World Cup and do what we need to do as a team. The rest are trying to dig up things that don’t exist and I am not someone who is ever going to feed,” Kohli, who was irked on the query, mentioned.

“I’ve explained myself very honestly and openly and if people think that’s more than what I’ve already told, I feel really bad for them. That’s definitely not the case.” BCCI President Sourav Ganguly mentioned in a dialog with Aaj Tak that There was no strain on Kohli to depart the management function and it was his personal determination.

“I was shocked (that Virat Kohli decided to step down as T20 captain). This decision must have been taken only after the tour of England and it is their decision. There was no pressure from our side. We didn’t tell him anything,” Ganguly mentioned.

“We don’t do things like that because I’ve been a player myself so I understand. It is very difficult to be the captain in all formats for so long.”

“I used to be captain for six years, it seems to be good from outdoors, there may be respect and all that. But you get burnt inside and it occurs to any captain. Not just for Tendulkar or Ganguly or Dhoni or Kohli but additionally for the captain who comes subsequent. It’s a troublesome job.”
