In a weird incident, German umpire Ben Goentgen was hit within the face by a penalty nook throughout the FIH Men’s World Cup quarter-final match between the Netherlands and South Korea on Wednesday.

Goentgen was instantly taken off the sector for remedy.

The incident occurred within the twenty eighth minute when South Korean Jang Jonghyun’s stinging drag flick deflected off the stick of a Netherlands participant and hit Goentgen, who was standing a couple of meters from the objective put up.
