Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla on Thursday stated that peace and tranquility within the border areas is an “essential condition” for India and China to work collectively and New Delhi expects Beijing to work with it to deliver a few passable resolution to the present points. Shringla informed a seminar on “Taking Advantage of China’s Economy” that developments alongside the LAC in japanese Ladakh have “seriously disturbed” the peace and tranquility within the border areas, and likewise affected the connection.
“We hope that the Chinese side will work with us to find a satisfactory solution to the current issues so that progress can be made on our bilateral relations, taking into account each other’s sensitivity, aspirations and interests,” he stated.
