“This will essentially be for the operation of four specialized streams of surface-to-surface missiles, surface-to-air missiles, remotely operated aircraft and Weapon Systems operators in twin and multi-crew aircraft. “We have transformed our operational training methodology to ensure that each Agniveer is equipped with the right skills and knowledge to start their career in the Air Force. In December this year, we will induct 3,000 Agniveer Vayus for their initial training. This number will only increase in the coming years to ensure adequate staffing,” he mentioned.
The Air Force Chief additionally revealed that the Indian Air Force is planning to induct ladies firefighters from subsequent 12 months.
