Indian crew introduced for T20 World Cup for the blind

The organizers of the third T20 World Cup for the visually impaired on Friday introduced the 17-member Indian crew and Yuvraj Singh because the model ambassadors of the championship.

The World Cup will probably be held in India from 6 to 17 December. The different collaborating nations are: Nepal, Bangladesh, Australia, South Africa, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. I Ajay Kumar Reddy will lead the Indian crew, whereas Venkateswara Rao Dunna (each from Andhra Pradesh) was made the vice-captain. The inaugural match will probably be performed between defending champions India and Nepal in Faridabad on December 6.

Former India batsman Yuvraj Singh stated that he’s thrilled to be the model ambassador, and urged everybody to assist the initiative.
“I admire and applaud the visually impaired cricketers for their passion for cricket and their determination to fight everyday challenges,” he stated. The World Cup is an initiative of the Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled, which has been organizing the championship since 2012. Samarth’s sports activities wing, Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI) is affiliated to World Blind Cricket Limited (WBC).

The 17-member Indian crew has been chosen by the choice committee, stated Mahantesh GK, founder managing trustee of Samarthanam and chairman of CABI, at a press convention right here.

CABI Selection Committee Chairman and CABI Secretary General E John David stated {that a} whole of 24 matches will probably be performed in varied cities of India together with Bengaluru, Kochi, Indore and Cuttack within the World Cup. India had earlier gained the World Cup on two events, held in 2012 and 2017.
