The on-air banter between Dinesh Karthik and Mark Waugh turned worse earlier than getting higher on the third day on Star Sports.
It began with Waugh being sad with the areas set by Pat Cummins. He did not like a deep level for Cheteshwar Pujara and recommended he maintain the person inside and pack the off-side cordon.
Enter Dinesh Karthik. Karthik tried to ask inquiries to Mark Waugh in a stern tone. “So you are unhappy with the field. There is none for Rohit Sharma, you are fine with it. Will you do the same as a captain?”
Mark Waugh mentioned, ‘I’m not speaking about Rohit Sharma, he’s a very totally different participant DK.’
Waugh mentioned, “…we’ve obviously thought differently..but I want to pack that off side for Pujara, looks like there’s a big chance to squeeze one in there.” “I want to pack that offside, my point is above. Catching cover stay there.. fair area.”
Karthik didn’t let go. “Actually, you do not suppose he would have discovered the online in that. He had time.
Perhaps it was his tone that unnerved Waugh and he spoke in a clearly aggravated voice.
“I didn’t know it was a press conference. You’re going to get one question per session, right?”
And Sanjay Manjrekar intervened.. “Okay, I’m going to step in here,” and browse out the rating. Peace was seen within the subsequent over.
