“Is this a dream?”  Suryakumar Yadav learns he can be India’s T20 vice-captain towards Sri Lanka

Suryakumar Yadav says he didn’t count on to be named India’s vice-captain for the T20I collection towards Sri Lanka however believes it was a reward for his arduous work up to now.

“I wasn’t expecting that but the way last year went, I can only say it’s like a reward for me. It feels great and I’m really looking forward to it.”

“My father forwarded me the staff, he’s all the time on social media and retains forwarding me issues. After seeing the message, I spoke to him. In that message he had a small message for me that do not take strain and luxuriate in batting.

He says his first response was to marvel if it was all a dream.

“I closed my eyes and thought, ‘Is this a dream? But it felt actually good. It nonetheless seems like a dream however it’s the arduous work of a few years. It was like a seed sown years in the past and now the tree has grown. Now I’m consuming its fruit. I’ll attempt to unfold it so long as I can,” he stated.

Yadav can be assisted by his former team-mate Hardik Pandya for Mumbai Indians and India.
