James tactfully defends BBC chairman’s appointment

Foreign Secretary James Cleverly has defended the appointment of Richard Sharpe as chairman of the BBC.

There are claims Mr Sharpe helped then Prime Minister Boris Johnson safe a mortgage simply weeks earlier than he was appointed as chairman.

Mr Cleverly mentioned he had “absolutely no doubt” that Mr Sharp had been appointed on advantage.
