Commonwealth Games gold medalist weightlifters Jeremy Lalrinnunga and Achinta Shuli will combat for the lone spot of 73kg on the Paris Olympics as the previous’s 67kg is just not included within the 2024 Games.

After the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) eradicated 67kg from the Paris Games, Jeremy, who received gold within the class on the CWG, will bulk as much as compete within the 73kg weight class. However, India is already represented within the weight class by Sheuly, who’s the nationwide file holder and the CWG champion within the 73kg class. The two will now face one another to qualify for the 2024 Olympics as just one lifter is allowed per nation within the weight class.
