Jharkhand Congress working president Bandhu Tirkey on Monday courted controversy by asking social gathering employees to thrash BJP employees “when necessary”.

Tirkey was talking at a sit-in by the ruling UPA close to Raj Bhavan right here in opposition to ED’s summons to the saffron social gathering and Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and earnings tax searches in opposition to two Congress MLAs.

The BJP reacted sharply to Tirkey and its nationwide vp Raghubar Das warned UPA supporters to not contact a BJP employee “even by mistake”.

The Enforcement Directorate had on November 3 summoned Soren for questioning in a cash laundering case associated to alleged unlawful mining within the state. Soren had dropped the summons and had gone to Chhattisgarh to attend a pre-scheduled occasion and is claimed to have sought three weeks’ time to seem earlier than the central probe company.

On November 4, the Income Tax Department had searched properties belonging to Jharkhand Congress MLAs Kumar Jaimangal and Pradeep Yadav. The MLAs had alleged that the raids had been performed underneath stress from the BJP.

Addressing the gathering, JMM common secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya mentioned that the BJP won’t ever achieve its agenda of toppling the Hemant Soren authorities in Jharkhand because the folks of the state are with them within the growth of the state.

Tirkey courted controversy by saying that “we are not against any investigation. But if it is done with a political vendetta, a proper reply will be given.” He then mentioned, “I am asking the party workers to expose the BJP and the need. I urge to beat up BJP workers if necessary.” Several senior leaders and MLAs of JMM and Congress, together with Badal Patralekh, Mathura Mahto, Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Manjhi, additionally took half within the protest.

Reacting to Tirkey’s remarks, Das tweeted, “Earlier (UPA) indulged in corruption and inciting violence when caught. BJP workers are not beaten up, they give a befitting reply. “(UPA) do not contact them (BJP employees) even by mistake,” he cautioned.

The saffron social gathering launched a week-long block stage agitation on Monday.

Senior BJP chief Babulal Marandi, who led the motion in Gandhi block of Giridih district, mentioned, “The entire state is in trouble due to the anti-people policies of the Hemant Soren government.”
