Juan Martin del Potro, who received the 2009 US Open, says he’s prone to retire from skilled tennis after taking part in tournaments in Buenos Aires this week after which in Rio de Janeiro.
Del Potro’s profession has been marred by harm and he has been off the circuit since 2019. He faces fellow Argentine Federico Delbonis on Tuesday within the Argentine capital.
Once ranked as excessive as No. 3 on this planet, del Potro stated Saturday with tears in his eyes that he was in a tough second and knew individuals have been anticipating him to return to tennis.

“It might not be like that and maybe it’s more of a farewell than a comeback,” he stated of his deliberate match play.
Del Potro has had a number of wrist and knee surgical procedures prior to now decade.
“The knee has me living a nightmare,″ he said at a news conference. For many years I have been trying alternatives and treatments and doctors and different ways to solve it.”
But, he stated, I’ve not been in a position to do it.”
