Sixteen per cent courts don’t even have bathrooms for males. About 50 per cent of courtroom complexes wouldn’t have libraries and 46% wouldn’t have water purification amenities.

Emphasizing on the necessity for correct infrastructure, Ramana mentioned: “If you want a different outcome from the judicial system, we cannot continue to operate in this current situation.”

On the necessary proposal associated to judicial infrastructure, he mentioned, ‘I’ve despatched a proposal to the Union Law Minister. I’m anticipating a optimistic response quickly and the Union Law Minister will expedite the method.”

Observing that courts in India assure constitutional rights and shield individuals from government actions, the CJI mentioned, “At times, people are not inclined to approach the courts. But now the time has come for us to dispel this notion. People’s faith in the judiciary is the biggest strength of democracy.”
