Italian soccer authorities are investigating alleged anti-Semitic slogans by followers of Juventus and Inter Milan.
The chant, which reportedly included references to Jews, occurred throughout Juventus’ 1-1 draw at Fiorentina on Saturday and Inter’s 3-2 loss to AC Milan within the Milan derby.
“We have been brothers of the world since 1908,” Inter tweeted late Monday. “It’s a commitment we’ve always made. It’s in our history, it’s us. Brothers Universally United (hashtag) not discriminate.”
The federation additionally introduced that it’s investigating Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri for insulting the referee and the whole referee’s corps throughout their 2-1 house loss to Napoli.
