Actress Kangana Ranaut on Wednesday night shared on social media platform Ku that she might be directing her upcoming venture ‘Emergency’ based mostly on the lifetime of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

The actor additionally revealed that the venture might be penned by Ritesh Shah, who has movies like Pink, Kahaani, Kahaani 2, D-Day, Rocky Handsome amongst others.

Talking about Emergency, Kangana wrote, “After working on Emergency for over a year, glad to wear the director’s cap again, finally I felt no one better than me can direct it. Brilliant writer Collaborating with Ritesh Shah, even if it means giving up on various acting assignments, I am determined to do it, my enthusiasm is immense. It is going to be a tremendous journey, another league #Emergency #Indira For my leap.”

In an earlier assertion, the National Award-winning actor had clarified that Emergency is just not a biopic however a political drama. He mentioned, ‘It is just not a biopic of Indira Gandhi. It is a grand interval movie. To be exact, it’s a political drama that can assist my era perceive the socio-political situation of present-day India.”

Apart from Emergency, Kangana Ranaut has Thalaivi, Tejas, Dhaakad and Manikarnika Returns: The Legend of Didda in her kitty.
