World quantity 4 Karolina Pliskova has pulled out of subsequent month’s Australian Open resulting from a hand damage.
The 29-year-old reached the semi-finals in Melbourne in 2019, shedding to eventual champion Naomi Osaka. She reached the ultimate of Wimbledon this 12 months earlier than reaching the quarterfinals of the US Open.
“Unfortunately, I injured my right hand in practice yesterday and I will not be able to play in Adelaide, Sydney and (the) Australian Open this year,” Pliskova mentioned.
