In a letter to Kejriwal, the Union Minister had alleged that the flag seen behind the Chief Minister through the press convention was a violation of the Flag Code. “It appears that the national flag has been used for decoration. It appears that the white portion in the center has been reduced and the green portion has been added to it, which is not in conformity with the provisions of the Flag Code of India as specified by the Ministry of Home Affairs,” Patel wrote within the letter.

“I do not expect such an act from the Hon’ble Chief Minister knowingly or unknowingly,” he mentioned within the letter, a duplicate of which was additionally despatched to the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Anil Baijal.

On Saturday afternoon, when Kejriwal broadcast one other deal with on the unlocking proceedings in Delhi, Patel remarked that the CM had “corrected his mistake”. “Today, the flags shown in the background at his press conference were correct,” the minister mentioned in a press release on Saturday night.

Patel additionally mentioned that “if Kejriwal had accepted his mistake, it would have been his nobility, and he is hopeful that Kejriwal will consider it.”
