Kerala High Court dismisses plea looking for keep on launch of movie ‘Esho’

In a shot by the hands of the makers of Malayalam movie ‘Isho’, the Kerala High Court on Friday refused to entertain a plea looking for a keep on the movie’s launch.

The petition, filed by the Kochi-based Christian Association and the Alliance for Social Action, sought a keep on the movie’s launch because it was argued that the filmmakers supposed to harm the feelings of the Christian neighborhood by the title and tagline of the movie. Huh.

‘Isho’ is Malayalam for Jesus and the tagline of the movie is ‘Not from the Bible’.

The HC orally noticed that the tagline itself makes clear in regards to the intentions of the movie and mentioned that it can’t intervene simply because the title is God’s title. The tagline was later dropped by the filmmakers.

The Catholic Congress, an Aam Aadmi Sangha backed by the church, staged a protest in entrance of the state secretariat in Thiruvananthapuram earlier this week, demanding a ban on the movie. It additionally demanded a probe into the funding of the movie.
