Kovid-19 ban in Bengal prolonged until June 15: Mamta Banerjee

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday prolonged the continuing Kovid-19 ban until June 15, saying the sanctions have helped alleviate the pandemic state of affairs barely.

The present ban was introduced for 15 days from May 16 after the West Bengal authorities introduced a steep improve within the variety of coronovirus circumstances.

The extension of the sanctions was introduced three days earlier than their termination.

“The Kovid-19 ban within the state will proceed until June 15. It shouldn’t be a lockout or curfew. We will strictly comply with the restrictions.

“It is a relief to see that the ongoing sanctions have helped to ease the situation slightly,” Banerjee instructed reporters on the state secretariat ‘Nabanna’.

He allowed the jute trade to work with 40 % of the workforce in place of the present 30 %.

“We will see that there is no disturbance in the state’s economy,” Banerjee stated.

The Chief Minister stated that following the protocol, important companies will proceed.
