Lady claims, Congress MLA provided Rs 30 lakh to settle assault case

A lady, who has accused Congress MLA Eldhos Kunnapilly of assault, on Wednesday claimed that she provided him Rs 30 lakh to settle the case registered in opposition to her.

The lady, who met reporters right here together with her face lined, mentioned she was considering suicide after the MLA and his pals threatened to settle the assault case registered in opposition to her final month.

The Kerala Police on Tuesday registered a case in opposition to the Perumbavoor MLA on the girl’s grievance that he kidnapped and assaulted her. A case was registered in opposition to three accused, together with the MLA’s private assistant and a pal, in reference to an incident that passed off on September 14.

“He came to my house in a drunken state. He assaulted me and forcibly took me to Kovalam in his car. There the MLA assaulted me. Seeing the assault, the local people informed the police. He told the police that I was his wife and went with me in his car. Later he took me to my house and then beat me up. I got injured and he took me to the hospital,” she advised reporters.

“The money was offered at a lawyer’s office near the court. I have given a statement in the court,” she mentioned.

The lady mentioned that many individuals tried to contact her to resolve the matter and she or he contemplated committing suicide because the strain mounted. She mentioned that she was rescued by Tamil Nadu Police from Kanyakumari seashore.

She was later traced to Tamil Nadu’s Madurai on Tuesday, the place she left from Kanyakumari and delivered to Vanchiyur. He was later taken to a Justice of the Peace the place he gave an announcement detailing his fees.

The lady, who works in a personal establishment right here, had in September filed a grievance in opposition to the Congress MLA to the town police commissioner, who forwarded it to the Kovalam police.

However, a case was registered by the Kovalam police station after the Vanchiyur police registered one other case on a grievance that she had gone lacking.

“In this case we’ve got to hearken to Kunnapally to listen to his model of the incident. The Congress social gathering had clearly said that we’ll not assist any type of violence in opposition to ladies.

The case was handed over to the District Crime Branch on Tuesday for additional investigation.
