Lakhimpur Kheri violence: Union minister’s son Ashish Mishra once more despatched to police custody

Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra’s son Ashish Mishra was on Friday despatched to two-day police custody within the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case. This is the second time that the Chief Judicial Magistrate of Lakhimpur Kheri, Chinta Ram, has despatched Ashish to police custody.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Uttar Pradesh Police on Thursday investigated the Lakhimpur Kheri case after new proof surfaced… Three days police custody of Ashish sought, one most important accused and three others. The SIT made the request after figuring out the drivers of the three SUVs and several other riders who ran over the protesting farmers on the day of the incident, killing 4 of them and a journalist.
