All England Championships finalist Lakshya Sen on Monday pulled out of the Swiss Open Super 300 event to get some relaxation after two weeks of gruelling badminton.

The 20-year-old from Almora made back-to-back closing appearances on the German Open and All England Championships within the final two weeks.

“He shouldn’t be taking part in Swiss Open as he’s feeling drained. He has knowledgeable the Badminton Association of India. So he can be again to Bangalore, get 7-10 days of relaxation after which go for Korean Open,” Sen’s mentor Vimal Kumar instructed PTI.

Sen was scheduled to face fellow Indian Sameer Verma in his marketing campaign opener.
