Leipzig appoints Tedesco as new coach to switch Marshacho

Leipzig employed former Schalke and Spartak Moscow coach Domenico Tedesco on Thursday to switch American coach Jesse Marsh, who left after the loss.

Tedesco could have a contract till the tip of the 2022-23 season, the membership stated.

The 36-year-old German has not coached within the Bundesliga since being fired by Schalke in March 2019 after a 7-0 loss to Manchester City within the Champions League. Schalke was dropped from the season after his departure.

Tedesco coached in Russia for 2 seasons with Spartak earlier than leaving in May, saying it was robust being separated from his household in the course of the coronavirus pandemic.

Marsh departed on Sunday after three consecutive Bundesliga defeats and a failure to qualify for the Champions League knockout stage from a bunch comprising City and Paris Saint-Germain.
