Lok Sabha adjourned as opposition MPs protest on agricultural legal guidelines, Pegasus

The Lok Sabha was adjourned for 45 minutes on Thursday morning after opposition lawmakers launched a protest towards newly enacted agricultural legal guidelines and alleged spying of politicians, activists and journalists utilizing Pegasus adware.

While Congress and BSP MPs have been in the midst of the House holding placards demanding repeal of the agricultural legal guidelines, TMC MPs led by Abhishek Banerjee bowed in the midst of the House searching for clarification on the “spies” of their leaders. .

Speaker Om Birla tried to steer the House, asking MPs to return to their seats in order that they may debate each challenge. Birla began the Question Hour however the proceedings have been interrupted by sloganeering and the House was adjourned at 11.15 am.
