A 55-year-old man was arrested for allegedly killing his daughter eight years after marrying a youth from one other neighborhood in Chilhiya space of Siddharth Nagar district.
The incident occurred on Sunday night at village Kapiya Khalsa when 28-year-old Sunita Sharma was standing outdoors her in-laws’ home.
According to the police, Sunita eloped along with her neighbor Abdul Motin in 2013 and moved to Mumbai. His household, which was in opposition to their relationship, lodged an FIR in opposition to Abdul for kidnapping. The police closed the case as each Sunita and Abdul have been adults.
Three weeks in the past, Sunita had returned to her village along with her husband Abdul and their two kids. She was staying at her in-laws home. Three days later Abdul returned to Mumbai, the place he runs a salon store.
