Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Tuesday alleged that BJP leaders and a few “goons” vandalized an under-construction faculty constructing which he was inspecting together with Public Works Minister Satyendar Jain.

“Today, to protest in opposition to the development of a college in Rohtas Nagar, BJP leaders and goons ransacked the constructing. They hit my authorities automotive, broke the college gate and misbehaved with girls academics, engineers and development staff. Why are BJP staff in opposition to the development of faculties and schooling (sic)?

DCP (Shahdara) R Sathiyasundaram, nevertheless, stated there was no violence. “They have been protesting and displaying black flags, however there was no violence. We have made elaborate safety preparations.”

Delhi BJP media division head Naveen Kumar claimed that the protesters weren’t BJP staff however academics who have been fired from their jobs. “Thousands of teachers have been fired from their jobs, now they (AAP) are saying that they are BJP workers. It is sad that teachers have been left without jobs during the pandemic and are now being treated like this when they are protesting.”

Sisodia and Jain have been touring the town for the previous one week to examine the progress of under-construction faculty buildings.

On Tuesday, each have been to go to colleges in Babarpur, Karawal Nagar, Rohtas Nagar and Gokalpur areas of North East Delhi.
