A 35-year-old sub-engineer from Chhattisgarh was kidnapped by Maoists per week in the past and launched on Wednesday after a number of appeals and rescue makes an attempt by his household and journalists within the state’s Bijapur district.

Ajay Roshan Lakra (35), a sub-engineer working with the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), was launched by the Maoists within the presence of his spouse, native journalists and villagers.

Lakra was kidnapped on November 11 when he was visiting Gorna village of Mankoli panchayat, 10 km from Bijapur district headquarters. Along with 24-year-old Laxman Pratagiri, a peon of the venture, the 2 have been kidnapped whereas they have been inspecting an under-construction street.
