Mark Boucher replaces Mahela Jayawardene as head coach of Mumbai Indians

Former South African wicket-keeper batsman Mark Boucher has been appointed as the top coach of Mumbai Indians for the upcoming IPL season, the franchise introduced on Friday.

The 45-year-old replaces former Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardene, who has been promoted by the franchise to the position of worldwide head of efficiency.

Boucher, who’s at the moment the top coach of South Africa’s males’s nationwide workforce, introduced earlier this week that he would step down from the position after the upcoming T20 World Cup.
