MCA Ombudsman to look into complaints of Lalchand Rajput

Mumbai Cricket Association’s Ombudsman and Ethics Officer Justice (Retd) V Tahilramani has promised to look into the criticism of former India opener Lalchand Rajput concerning the reinstatement of the Cricket Reforms Committee (CIC).

On 4 April, Rajput appealed to Tahilramani to reinstate the then Cricket Improvement Committee (CIC), which was headed by him.

The 59-year-old Rajput, who performed two Tests and 4 ODIs, headed the MCA’s former CIC, which included former India Test gamers Raju Kulkarni and Sameer Dighe.

Tahilramani wrote in an e mail to Rajput, “This e-mail is to tell you that we’ve got acquired your criticism on 4th April 2021, a duplicate of which is with PTI.

The MCA Ombudsman additional wrote, “As the lockdown restrictions are partially eased in the city from today, we have resumed work in the office, albeit in limited capacity and your complaint will be looked into soon.”

Rajput wrote in his petition to “request for a good trial and speedy motion until the matter is resolved. To reinstate the CIC, which was dissolved until the following AGM on 18 February 2021.

Rajput, who can be Zimbabwe’s present coach, additionally requested the appointment of the brand new CIC as “invalid”.

Rajput had additional stated, “…declare the appointment of the new CIC headed by Jatin Paranjpe vide e-mail dated 20 February 2021 till the next AGM where such appointments are to be made as per the MCA constitution.” Petition.

Former India quick bowler Kulkarni had additionally given an identical petition to the Ombudsman and the MCA Ombudsman is known to have written to the previous quick bowler on related traces.

However, two members of the MCA Apex Council, Unmesh Khanwilkar and Ajinkya Naik, wrote separate mails to the secretaries of cricket our bodies, alleging that they had been saved at the hours of darkness about Muzumdar’s appointment.
