Defending champion Daniil Medvedev beat 2018 champion Alexander Zverev on Tuesday to achieve the ATP Finals semi-finals to register two of two wins in Turin.
Medvedev, who gained the US Open for his first Grand Slam title in September, took greater than 2 1/2 hours to beat Zverev 6-3, 6-7(3), 7-6(6) and with the German Equaled. On tour-leading 56 wins.
He leads the Red Group and a spot within the final 4 could be assured if first-time qualifier Hubert Herkás beat native favourite Matteo Berrettini after Tuesday.
