A five-day mega drive-thru vaccination drive is about to start in Gurgaon from Wednesday, with officers saying the facilities can be arrange by the well being division at two places within the district every day.
According to officers, as a part of the marketing campaign, Covishield can be operated on third Road in Sector 70 and Covaxin in Grand Mall on Wednesday. Similarly, CoveShield can be operational on Thursday at each City Center Mall and Candor Tech Space. On July 2, Covishield can be delivered at Emaar Digital Greens, whereas Covaxin can be delivered at Area Mall, and on July 3 Covishield can be administered at each Star Mall and Spaz iTech Park. Covaxin can be given at Covishield and Star Mall at Candor Palam Vihar on the final day of the marketing campaign on July 4.
“In these locations, wherever Covishield will be administered, 250 slots will be available for the first and second doses. However, in places where Covaxin is given, the first dose will not be given. A total of 250 slots will be available but only for the second dose,” mentioned Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr MP Singh.
“No prior registration or slot booking is required for drive-thru vaccination. Vaccines will be given on first come first serve basis,” he mentioned.
The well being division on Tuesday had drawn up the same plan to conduct vaccination drives within the slums of Gurgaon within the first 9 days of July.
