Mohammed Shami’s T20I comeback shall be delayed because the veteran pacer has examined constructive for COVID 19 and shall be dominated out of the Australia collection beginning September 20 in Mohali.

Veteran pacer Umesh Yadav, who performed his final of seven T20Is towards Australia in 2019, is again within the scheme of issues, after recovering from a quadriceps damage.

“Yes, Shami has tested COVID-19 positive. But there is nothing to worry as the symptoms are mild. But he will have to remain in isolation and will be able to rejoin the team once he tests negative. It is unfortunate but life is like that,” a senior BCCI supply advised PTI on situations of anonymity.

Asked how lengthy he thinks Shami will take to get better, the supply expressed hope that he shall be match for the subsequent collection towards South Africa.
