Moon Knight: Kevin Feige says Oscar Isaac’s Marvel superhero is ‘brutal, marks a tonal shift in MCU’

Oscar Isaac-led Moon Knight sequence is wanting like one of many most-awaited and thrilling entries within the MCU. Created by Jeremy Slater, the sequence follows Marc Spector, the titular character who’s a former Marine and CIA operative and at the moment works as a mercenary.

Suffering from dissociative id dysfunction, Marc has troubles distinguishing between actuality and hallucination. He turns into a vigilante, whereas gaining powers on account of his physique being a conduit of the Egyptian moon god Khonshu.

The character is far darker than what MCU followers count on, and marks a departure from the sunny, largely vibrant heroes that populate the remainder of the cinematic universe.

Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige talked to Empire in a latest interview concerning the character. He described Moon Knight, each the hero and the sequence as “brutal.”

He added, “It’s been enjoyable to work with Disney+ and see the boundaries shifting on what we’re capable of do. There are moments [in the series] when Moon Knight is wailing on one other character, and it’s loud and brutal, and the knee-jerk response is, ‘We’re gonna pull again on this, proper?’ No. We’re not pulling again. There’s a tonal shift. This is a distinct factor. This is Moon Knight.”

He is also known as the Marvel’s Batman, on account of him sharing a few similarities with Bruce Wayne’s alter-ego in that each are broody and have darker points to them and each hunt for criminals at evening. That is the place, nevertheless, the similarities finish.

Moon Knight premieres on March 30.
