Amid world criticism over the Hijab row in Karnataka, the Ministry of External Affairs Saturday stated motivated feedback over inside points weren’t welcome.

In an announcement, the Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Arindam Bagchi stated: “A matter regarding dress code in some educational institutions in the State of Karnataka is under judicial examination by the Hon’ble High Court of Karnataka. Our constitutional framework and mechanisms, as well as our democratic ethos and polity, are the context in which issues are considered and resolved.”
He added, “Those who know India effectively would have a correct appreciation of those realities. Motivated feedback on our inside points usually are not welcome.”
The row had began after six college students have been banned from coming into a university in Karnataka’s Udupi district for sporting a hijab. After protests over the choice unfold, the federal government went onto shut all establishments throughout the state.
