MP: Man arrested for making objectionable remarks in opposition to PM, Union Minister

Madhya Pradesh Police has arrested a 28-year-old man for allegedly making objectionable remarks on social media in opposition to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani.

Khachrod police station in-charge Ramkishore Singhawat stated {that a} native BJP chief lodged a criticism with the police on Saturday in opposition to Govardhan Nagar, a resident of Akya Jagir village in Ujjain district.

Khachrod BJP Mandal unit president Chetan Sharma, in his criticism, alleged that the accused posted an edited image with some objectionable feedback on the social media platform, the official stated.

Following the criticism, Nagar was arrested and a case was registered in opposition to him underneath the provisions of the Information Technology Act, the official stated, including that the accused was later launched on bail.

He stated that the matter is being investigated.
