The presentation ceremony of the 67th National Film Awards was organized at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi on Monday. Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu offered the awards. The awards included the 51st Dadasaheb Phalke Award, which was conferred on Rajinikanth. In an announcement on Sunday, Rajinikanth wrote: “Tomorrow marks a momentous event for me with two particular locations. One, the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, is being given to me by the Government of India due to the love and assist of the individuals.” After this he wrote about his daughter Soundarya’s app. Rehearsals for the awards came about on Sunday.

Best Feature Film went to Priyadarshan’s Malayalam epic Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea. While Kangana Ranaut gained the Best Actress award for her performances in Manikarnika and Panga, the Best Actor award went to Manoj Bajpayee for Bhonsle and Dhanush for Asuran. Vivek Agnihotri’s The Tashkent Files bagged the perfect dialogue and his spouse Pallavi Joshi gained the perfect supporting actress award for a similar movie. Chhichhore starring the late Sushant Singh Rajput gained the award for the perfect Hindi movie. B Praak obtained the National Award for Best Male Playback Singer for his patriotic tune Teri Mitti from the war-drama Kesari.
