The National Investigation Agency on Saturday filed a supplementary cost sheet towards two alleged operatives of the Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) on the NIA Special Court, Lucknow for being a part of the legal conspiracy to hold out terrorist incidents in numerous components of the nation together with Uttar Pradesh.

According to the NIA, two individuals have been recognized as Nisar Ahmed Sheikh (52) and Nishad Ahmed Butt (42) – each residents of Kishtwar in Jammu and Kashmir.

It is alleged that Nisar and Nishad have been grassroot employees of the group and used to supply logistic assist to the operatives.

The cost sheet has been learn below sections 18, 19 and 38 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 together with Section 120B of the IPC.

According to a press release launched by the NIA, the case during which Nisar and Nishad have been chargesheeted was initially lodged on the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) police station in Lucknow on September 12, 2018. It was earlier lodged towards Kamrooz Zaman and several other others. Allegedly accused of conspiring to hold out terrorist incidents in Uttar Pradesh and different areas. Kamruj, a resident of Assam, was arrested by the ATS in September in Kanpur for allegedly finishing up the assault.

On September 29, 2018, the NIA took over the investigation and re-registered the case. The assertion mentioned that after the investigation, the central company filed a cost sheet towards Kamruz and his absconding colleague Osama bin Javed in March 2019.

Security forces killed Osama in an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir in September 2019. The NIA mentioned that throughout the investigation, it was revealed that Nisar and Nishad have been allegedly offering shelter to Osama and different Hizbul operatives.

“Nisar Ahmad Sheikh used to arrange for safe transport for Osama bin Javed and other HM terrorists, while accused Nishad Ahmed Butt assisted Osama bin Javed and other HM terrorists. He had also built a hideout in his house to provide safe haven to the terrorists of HM, ”an NIA launch mentioned.
