No additional rest in lockdown norms in Pune for per week

Owing to predictions by consultants that COVID-19 instances are prone to rise within the coming days because of the current rest in lockdown norms, the district administration has determined to not additional loosen up norms for a number of days.

“The number of patients and the positivity rate have come down. However, experts have predicted an increase in the number of patients in the coming days. Thus, the administration has decided to continue with the existing lockdown norms,” State Home Minister Dilip Walse-Patil stated after reviewing the COVID-19 scenario within the district.

The scenario shall be reviewed within the subsequent assembly and selections shall be taken accordingly.

“There is a third wave in other countries. According to experts, there is a similar fear in our country as well. The administration is making preparations to handle the situation, but citizens should not step out unnecessarily without reason, as many people are found to be stepping out,” Walse-Patil stated.

The growing crowd at weddings is a trigger for concern, he stated, including that the police have been requested to strictly implement the foundations of restricted attendance at weddings.
