No class XII state board examination: Maharashtra makes it official after SDMA nod

A day after the state cupboard determined to cancel the Class XII state board exams, the federal government on Thursday made a proper announcement following a go-ahead from the State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA).

The SDMA, headed by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, on Wednesday gave ultimate approval to the proposal submitted by the state’s faculty schooling division.

Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Vijay Wadettiwar, who can be a member of the SDMA, mentioned the authority accredited the proposal on Thursday.

School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad mentioned that with a view to make sure the well being and security of scholars and to take care of uniformity in analysis of assorted boards in Maharashtra, the federal government has formally determined to cancel the Class XII state board examinations.

“The evaluation policy of the state board for class XII students and the result declaration date will be announced soon. We are committed to make accurate assessment of the students,” she advised media individuals.

Due to the second wave of Covid-19, the state authorities had earlier postponed the state board examinations of sophistication X and sophistication XII which had been scheduled to start out from April 23 and April 30 respectively.

Gaikwad mentioned that lecturers, non-teaching workers and college students showing for the examination ought to be given the standing of “frontline workers” and given choice in vaccination.
