No plans to evacuate Indians from Kazakhstan given steady scenario: Government

The authorities on Thursday stated that it isn’t planning to evacuate Indian nationals. Kazakhstan Because the scenario within the Central Asian nation is steady proper now.

Minister of State for External Affairs Meenakshi Lekhi stated within the Rajya Sabha, “Given the stable situation of the country, there is no need for any plan to evacuate Indian nationals from Kazakhstan.”

She was responding to a query whether or not the federal government plans to evacuate stranded Indians from Kazakhstan.

About 7,000 Indians live in Kazakhstan, the place protests erupted final month after widespread violence. The protest was initially triggered by the rise in gasoline costs.

The minister stated that Indians are reportedly secure.

Replying to a separate query, Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan stated the sanctioned energy of the Indian Foreign Service is 1011, in opposition to which at current there are 848 officers.

“The vacancies in the Indian Foreign Service are filled by the Civil Services Examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and by direct recruitment through promotion from the feeder cadre,” he stated.
