Noida: Three individuals arrested in unlawful arms commerce, 10 pistols recovered

Noida Police on Saturday arrested three individuals in reference to unlawful arms.

According to the police, Aftab, Shakeel and Sagir, residents of Ghaziabad, had plans to arrange an unlawful arms manufacturing facility in Meerut. The joint workforce of Bisrakh SWAT workforce and Crime Branch arrested the three accused on Saturday. An enormous cache of weapons have reportedly been recovered from them.

“We had received inputs that some people have weapons in large quantities and were planning to set up a base in a different district. The crime branch had information that the accused would be crossing Noida. During checking, we identified the accused. They tried to escape, but after being chased, they were surrounded and arrested,” Abhishek, DCP Crime, Gautam Buddh Nagar, stated.

Police stated Aftab and Sagir used to run a jewelery store whereas Shakeel labored in a pipe retailer. The three accused had been working operations in Ghaziabad for the previous decade. The accused had been allegedly making country-made pistols primarily based on the mannequin of the imported handgun. Police stated the trio had a longtime community of consumers and would promote weapons value as much as Rs 1 lakh.

Police stated they’ve recovered 10 pistols, 80 cartridges and over 20 models of uncooked materials used to make the weapons. Noida Police stated that the accused have already served jail time period in Delhi for unlawful arms commerce. Another accused who helped them shift Meerut is at present absconding.
