A Delhi court docket has refused bail to 3 individuals accused of killing individuals in the course of the Northeast Delhi riots by coordinating on a WhatsApp group referred to as ‘Qatar Hindu Ekta’.
Additional Sessions Judge Vinod Yadav, whereas rejecting the bail purposes of Vivek Panchal, Jatin Sharma and Rishabh Chaudhary, noticed that an eyewitness was corroborated by the postmortem report of the deceased.

ASJ Yadav stated that it’s “relevant to note here that the dreary days of 24.02.2020 and 25.02.2020 witnessed communal frenzy in some parts of Northeast Delhi, reminiscent of the carnage of the days of Partition. The rioters had broken almost every CCTV in the vicinity and damaged the DVR… and as such, it is quite possible that no CCTV footage is available in this case.”
The court docket additionally stated that six individuals are absconding within the case and the probe company is tracing them.
The court docket admitted that the costs are nonetheless not framed and the statements of the witnesses are but to be recorded.
“The nature of the allegations against the applicants is very serious. The public witnesses in this case are residents of the same locality and the possibility of intimidation or intimidation by the applicant(s) on their release on bail at this stage cannot be ruled out,” the court docket stated.
