The ceremony to honor the Padma awardees can be held at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday. President Ram Nath Kovind will current the award. among the many awardees Kangana Ranaut, Adnan Sami, Ekta Kapoor, Karan Johar and late singer SP Balasubramaniam.
Talking in regards to the honour, Kangana had earlier mentioned, “I started my journey from a small village in Himachal Pradesh, and for me to be in the same league we grew up watching, be it Karan’s Be it films or serials of Ekta Kapoor. …we knew these guys growing up. And who has not heard the songs of Adnan Sami ji? It is a matter of pride for a girl like me to have Padma Shri with him.”
Producer Ekta Kapoor wrote on Twitter, “Humbled and overwhelmed. My foray into the business started after I was simply 17. I consistently heard that I used to be ‘too younger’, ‘too uncooked’ and had no selection however to do issues. It was ‘too quickly’ for me. I’m humbled if I’ve been awarded the Padma Shri.
Karan Johar wrote, “It’s not often that I lack words, but this is such an occasion… Padma Shri. Such an honor to receive one of the civilian awards in the country. Too many right now.” Overwhelmed with emotion. Humbled, excited and in addition grateful for the chance to reside, create and entertain my goals daily. I do know my father could be proud and want he was right here to share this second with me. #so blessed.”
