The Finance Ministry mentioned that Pakistan has requested the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to delay the board assembly to think about the sixth overview of the nation until the tip of January.

The assembly, which was to be held this week on January 12, will overview Pakistan’s suggestion to launch one billion {dollars} out of the $6 billion three-year programme.

Pakistan is to cross a mid-year price range to satisfy the fiscal tightening advisable by the IMF. “As soon as the legislative processes are completed, the IMF Board will consider it for approval,” the finance ministry mentioned.
