A ‘PAU Live’ program was organized on Wednesday, wherein consultants cautioned the farmers in opposition to the pests that nibble on summer time greens. He additionally mentioned on direct sowing of rice (DSR), weed administration and agricultural practices.
Dr. MS Bhullar, Head, Department of Agricultural Sciences stated that DSR know-how has favored the farmers of Punjab. He informed about irrigation and fertilizer administration in DSR and weed administration in varied crops.
Dr Paramjit Kaur, whereas referring to the administration of mites in summer time greens, stated that the current temperature is favorable for the event of weevil pests which assault greens like cucumber, brinjal, okra, capsicum. He suggested the farmers to comply with the suggestions of PAU. Apart from this, he additionally gave details about agricultural works for agro-forestry (Chinar); Floriculture and landscaping (chrysanthemums, gladiolus, roses, bougainvillea, lawns and different new vegetation).
