Petrol and diesel costs have been hiked for the fifth consecutive day on Wednesday, April 6 with each fuels costlier by 80 paise per liter. In Bangalore petrol rose to ₹ 111.09 per liter whereas diesel retailed at ₹ 94.79 per liter. In Chennai petrol was priced at ₹ 110.85 per liter on Wednesday morning with diesel at ₹ 100.94 per liter. In Kolkata diesel is now only a hair in need of the ₹ 100 mark at ₹ 99.83 per liter. Petrol was priced at ₹ 115.12 per litre.
CNG costs hiked in Delhi and Mumbai
Price hikes although weren’t simply restricted to petrol and diesel, Indraprastha Gas (IG) – the provider for CNG in Delhi-NCR – and Mahanagar Gas (MGL) – the provider in Mumbai and surrounding areas – each introduced hikes in costs of CNG.
