‘Phir Ghar Mein Bandh’: Mehbooba Mufti says dignitaries ought to present actual image of Kashmir

PDP chief and former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday claimed that she has been “under house arrest” as she deliberate to go to Tral in Jammu and Kashmir.

“Locked again in my house today for attempting to go to the village of Tral, which was allegedly looted by the army. This is the real picture of Kashmir that should be shown to visiting dignitaries instead of a neat and guided picnic tour of the Government of India,” tweeted Mufti.

The PDP chief additionally posted an image of a car of the safety forces allegedly blocking the principle gate of his residence on Gupkar Road.

On Tuesday, Mufti had alleged that Army personnel had thrashed a household in Pulwama’s Tral city and injured a feminine member, including that she was on her approach to go to the household on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Mufti had tweeted: “Army of Yagwani camp in Tral ransacked houses and brutally thrashed a family last night. The daughter was admitted to the hospital with serious injuries. This is not the first time that the civilians of this village have been beaten up by the army in this area.”

The final time the Mufti claimed that he was positioned beneath home arrest was on September 7. “The Indian government expresses concern for the rights of the Afghan people but willfully denies it to Kashmiris. I have been placed under house arrest today because according to the administration the situation in Kashmir is far from normal. This exposes their fake claims of normalcy,” she had tweeted.
