These injections have been being purchased and bought illegally with out a prescription. A lure was laid on Tuesday in Wakad after the sale was finalized with a dummy buyer.

The police initially arrested Gaurav Jagtap (31), the proprietor of a medical retailer in Wakad. Investigations revealed his three accomplices – Amol Manjrekar (39) who works as a salesman in a medical retailer in Pashan, Ganesh Kotme (32), who works as a ‘bouncer’ in a hospital in Kasba Peth, and Mamta. Jalit (24), who works as a nurse on the Municipal Corporation’s Covid Care Centre.
